We currently have Companion Voices learning groups around the UK in Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Frome, Hertfordshire, Hereford, London, the Midlands, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford and Bingley (West Yorkshire). This map gives an overview of group locations.

In addition to our in person learning circles we’ve been holding regular online sessions since January 2024.
COMPANIONS AND FRIENDS VIRTUAL CAFE
A monthly online session to connect our far-flung Companions community and to provide a space for others to learn about our work. Sessions run from 6-7.30pm UK time.

- Thursday 14th May: with special guest Frances Keenan (co-holder of our Hereford group) teaching her own song ‘Holding You’

Learning Group Information
We meet monthly for teaching sessions with Judith Silver (Founder) or a Companion Voices leader trained and mentored by her, and some groups also arrange additional practice sessions. Please see below for the next few months’ learning sessions. We usually take a break from the learning groups in August, though are still available to be called to a bedside.

BINGLEY COMPANIONS:
Usually third Wednesday of the month, from 7.30pm to 9pm. This group also holds ‘Soup and Sing’ sessions in the fortnights in between sessions and dates for these are shared with Companions who join.

FINLAND CONNECTIONS (Jyväskylä and Helsinki):
We have been collaborating to support the setting up of groups similar to Companion Voices in Jyväskylä and Helsinki, called Saattolaulu (which has a similar meaning). Please use our contact page so we can signpost you for more information about these groups.
Introductory Sessions for New Groups and open workshops with existing groups
We are in conversation with a number of people wanting to set up new groups around the UK. Our organisation is small and unfunded so we have to pace ourselves but if you’d like a new group to start in your area, please do register your interest so we know of your interest.
